A return to Hand Drawn Animation

Jack and the Beanstalk is a full feature hand drawn animated fairy tale film. 

It is aimed for children and adults aged 6 and above.

A poor country boy trades his cow for magic beans which grow into a giant beanstalk that leads to a giant’s castle, where he makes a shocking discovery about his family and finds a treasure more valuable than all the gold in the land.

The Characters

Jack

A ten year old boy, who is slim with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is gentle hearted and kind with a sense of adventure.

Rusty

A naive, affectionate, playful, and loyal best friend to Jack. He is very protective of Jack and helps take care of him.

Finnegan

A happy go lucky, optimistic, and brave leprechaun. He was one of the leprechauns who was cheated by the Giants and turned into their slave. He is married to his devoted wife Mary.

Mary

A Round, short, rosy cheeked lady with  light brown hair. She is very organized and prepared. Her personality is nervous, nurturing, kind, loyal, smart, and brave. She often teases her husband but is very loyal to him.

Jack’s Mother

A simple and kind woman with brown hair, slim build, and brown hair tied in a bun. Her demeanor is nervous, loving, caring, and she is constantly stressed  about her income.

Jack’s Father

A kind man with worn out blue eyes and blonde hair like his son. His family believe him to be dead but he has spent years being tortured and locked away by the giants. He is intelligent, strategic, fair, has a sense of adventure, and is friendly to all kinds of people.

Giant

A brutish oaf who is very gruff, dim, and easily aggravated. He is selfish, lacks intelligence and is short sighted. He is always hungry and animalistic in behavior.

Marta

A sorceress who is married to the Giant. She was able to outsmart the fairy and keep her wand which she uses for herself. She is  calculating, clever, vindictive, cunning, and evil. She is willing to sacrifice anything and anyone to get what she wants.

Golden Harp Fairy

A fairy who is thwarted by the evil sorceress Marta and trapped as a harp. Only when her wand is returned to her can she be free to help Jack and the leprechauns defeat the Giants. 

Penny

A bird who was a statue turned to life by the Gold Fairy. She is a gift for Jack to help him with his mission to find her wand.
